With Leeds United fans being pretty mixed in some senses when it came to the confirmation of Jack Clarke’s sale to Tottenham Hotspur and his instant loan back to Elland Road, it seems there was one thing the vast majority agreed with.
With some fans on social media simply viewing it as Clarke took the Premier League money, others appreciating it was a good deal for us with Financial Fair Play continuing to bite all Championship sides and more simply being pleased we get him back for the campaign given the role many feel he can play in helping us to go one better this season and gain promotion into the Premier League ourselves, the choice of announcements by our social media team seemed to raise a smile from everyone.
With Leeds tagging #ByeJack on to his sale message before adding #Hi Jack to his loan confirmation less than two minutes later, plenty of fans saw the funny side.
Well done @LUFC heard this kid has great potential…. Option to buy maybe ????
